RIP Little Crab

I came home to find my littlest crab lying very still on his side. Having experienced this before, when he went into a moult, I was not immediately concerned, but then I noticed the water and food dishes weren't touched. They usually look like a train wreck.

I picked him up. His normally glossy black eyes were dull and sand colored. His claws hung limp. There was no life. My little guy had passed away.

I don't know what happened. He had been vibrant and playful just yesterday. I can only surmise a heart attack or something that happened quickly.

The big crab seems all right, I picked him up and he started to crawl all over me as he usually does. I will keep an eye on him and make sure he's ok, then this weekend after work I will get a couple new crabs so he won't be lonesome.

Aww..poor little thing. He was a sweetie. I'm gonna go now and just grieve a little.
